After you have washed and conditioned with your favorites it is time to apply styling products! One of the keys to achieving great curls is to apply products while your hair is soaking wet in the shower.
Before rinsing your conditioner out you will want to comb it into your hair flipping your head upside down. You will rinse and apply products with your hair this way.
While in the shower with your hair flipped over you will begin to see the natural curl patterns of your hair forming. Use a scrunching of your hair to help them form. You will use this method to apply all of the styling products.
When applying products to your hair it is a good rule to go heaviest to lightest.
Because Curls are what we are looking for it is important to use the Curl Defining Cream. You only need a nickel to quarter size amount. You will emulsify that in your hands and then apply to your hair. It is important that you scrunch in each product.
The next product that I use is Frizz Fix. I tend to get a little frizz with humidity. If it is not humid I alternate this with a Thermal Protect Styling Sheild. Use the same procedure to apply this product.
Next, I apply the lightest product the Moxie Magnifying Mousse. I use 2 pumps of mousse on my hair at this point using the same method. I will apply another 2 pumps part way through my drying cycle.
After all of the products are applied I wrap my hair in a Microfiber towel to get out the moisture. It is important not to rub your hair as this caused split ends. Let your hair sit in the towel for 10-15 minutes to absorb all of the moisture.
Now it is time to dry your hair. A diffuser is very important to achieve curls. You will want to concentrate on the roots first and them more to the ends.
Midway through the drying process you will want to apply another 2 pumps of Mousse to help define the curls.
When hair is dry a few spritzes of hair spray will seal the look. If your hair has a little crunch that you do not like you can use a small amount of Rejuvinique oil fingered through your hair to soften it.
